I had to read the book, because I wasn't willing to wait for whenever HBO decides to air the final season of House of the Dragon.
The style of writing, from a third person, surprised me, since I had not read any George R. R. Martin book before.
Also, I thought this book was written before A Song of Ice and Fire, knowing now that it didn't, makes Games of Thrones much more innovative, since we learn here about behaviors and events that were surprising on GOT.
Not sure how the final season of House of the Dragon will unfold, but it will undoubtedly be catastrophic, based on what happens on the book.
What an imagination this guy has: the universe is immense, it's infinite, don't understand how he came up with so much world.
Having said that, the creative process is a full blown mess: he's writing 2 books beyond game of thrones, he's writing the sequel to Fire and Blood and also writing some smaller books in the same universe, this is very crazy.
I think i'd like to at least start reading A Game of Thrones, just to check the writing style there
In any case, the history is so rich, it was an entertaining read.
